In the midst of struggles God is with me, guiding me, loving me, comforting me. Anchored by God’s love I am not aimlessly tossed about in the storm. In the pain and sorrow, God holds me safe. I know that God is always on the side of the sufferer.

When was the last time you heard or read the Twenty Third Psalm? I’m going to venture to guess it was at a funeral. It does appear as the optional reading in the lectionary for certain Sundays in years A & B and also every year in the readings for the 4th Sunday of Easter.Continue reading “Present Tense”
